Why was I there? My husband enjoys nude beaches and I don’t. So, I sat with my towel around me and never entered the water. To the Editor: I differ with your statement that “nude resorts don’t pressure guests to strip.” On our third trip to Grand Lido Braco, in Jamaica, while on the nude side of the beach I was asked to strip or leave the beach. Perhaps the most popular are the events sponsored by Gay Naturists International, which hosts its annual Gathering of Male Nudists (for over 800 men every summer in the Poconos, and several nudist cruises and vacations throughout the year. There are also gay naturist campgrounds in many states.
There are dozens of clothing-optional resorts for gay men in such likely places as Palm Springs, Fort Lauderdale and Key West in addition to the less-likely Tucson, and Orlando, among others. To the Editor: I am happy that you published “ No Shoes, No Shirt, No Worries” (April 27) on naturist resorts, but you left out mention of a niche within that niche: gay nudist vacations.
